Your family and friends are always welcome to visit and enjoy The Plains.
The Plains is located in the heart of Brisbane's south at Eight Mile Plains: just a three-minute drive local shops, less than ten minutes to Westfield Garden City and close to a number of motorway links with a council bus stop at our door.
Our 74 independent living units are detached homes or duplex style with remote-controlled garages, plus some boutique apartments—lift accessible with basement parking.

The Plains has a residents’ committee—organising activities like morning teas and day trips so you can connect and enjoy each other’s company.
The committee also deals with Bethany Christian Care on behalf of residents and represents residents’ interests in village affairs.
As a resident at The Plains you’ll stay up-to-date and have your voice heard. We host an annual meeting where we present financial statements and fee levels for the coming year. We also arrange other meetings from time to time to talk about matters relating to your life at The Plains.
All of our independent living units have a 24-hour emergency call system installed. While we hope you’ll never need it, it’s comforting to know help is just a call away.
The village comparison document (required by the Retirement Villages Act) for independent living units at The Plains sets out the general costs of moving into, living in and leaving the retirement village. This makes it easier for you to compare retirement villages.
